Cadence helps one person track and interpret a partner's menstrual cycle. It stores intimate, sensitive information — cycle dates, moods, and free-text notes. This policy explains what is stored, where it lives, and where, if anywhere, it goes.
All of your data is stored on your device. Cadence has no account system, no backend database, and no server-side copy of your data. We do not sell, share, or transmit your stored data to us or to any third party for advertising or analytics. There are no analytics or ad SDKs in the app.
On Android the data is encrypted at rest — stored with a key held in the device keystore.
To generate the daily AI insight and personalized do/avoid guidance, the app sends the relevant cycle data, moods, and notes to Anthropic's Claude API. To keep our API key off your device, this call goes through a small proxy server we run, which forwards it to Anthropic.
Cadence stores intimate health information about another person. Only use it with that person's knowledge and consent.
